So we arrive safely in Dublin today. We parked the car at the hotel & bought Tickets for one of the Hop on, Hop off tour buses. It allowed us to see 2 of the planned items & get a view of Dublin. Hop off stop #1 was Trinty College to see the campus and, of course, the Book of Kells. The old library was absolutly amazing too. The woodwork and rows & rows of all the books in that old library is just as fascinating as the ancient text that draws people into it. Hop off #2, Guinness. We learned a bit about the brew like (and this is how many a great things are created) the dark brew was created by an accident - someone burned the barley but decided to make the brew with it anyway! At the end of the tour, we had the opportunity to sample a pint of the brew;
"Guiness makes you strong!"
On to the Gravity Room at the top of Guinness in Dublin - 1st draft is included in the price of admission!
First Guinness Beer while in Ireland, more to come - MMMM - my Irish DNA surfaced!
Naptime then off to dinner!
