All Major Plans Complete, Now to the Details...

The last reservation is in place for the final night at the airport. http://www.hiexpressdublin-airport.com/

This is from our castle night location:

Ballyseede Castle in Tralee, County Kerry - it is allegedly haunted!

This is the view from the deck of the B&B in Doolin:

This picture "sold me" on this particular place!

We are getting a GPS with the rental car.  I hope it reminds us to stay to the left...  Our car will look something like this:

We also opted for the automatic transmission shifting left handed would be different indeed as if driving down "the other side of the road" would be challenge enough.

Planning the Trip I

Initial planning is complete.  We are leaving on Friday June 3rd & returning Wednesday June 15th.  Those going on the trip in addition to myself are my husband Antonio & daughter Yesenia.  We fly in & out of Dublin via Aer Lingus.  We will be touring Ireland via a car.  We have reservations for the trip for all but the final night completed.

Our first night will be in Dublin @ the Castle Hotel http://www.castle-hotel.ie/  We plan to explore Dublin on Saturday & Sunday then move on to Carlow Sunday afternoon.

Carlow is a college town visit.  Yesenia is possibly going to attend Carlow College (St. Patrick's) via a study abroad program @ MCC.  We will spend Sunday evening here @ http://www.carlowbedandbreakfast.com/

Monday we plan to see the college & area then move on to the western side of Waterford County.  We spend 2 nights here @ http://www.newtownfarm.com/ a working farm with sheep.  It is near the town of Ardmore, a Christian settlement founded in 316 A.D. by St. Declan.

On Wednesday, we will drive west to Kerry County to Tralee exploring as we go.  Maybe stopping by Jamison's and/or the Blarney Castle on the way amongst the many points of interest.  We will stay 2 nights @ http://www.ballyseedecastle.com/history.php ghost & all.  We hope to go horseback riding in this area (Dingle Peninsula) though getting my husband on a horse may prove to be a challenge.

Friday, we move north to Clare County for 4 nights @ http://www.seaview-doolin.ie/ Right off the coast here are the Aran Islands were Gaelic or Irish is still spoken.

On Tuesday, we head back to Dublin, touring whatever strikes our fancy along the way.  We plan to stay near the airport in Dublin on Tuesday Evening.

Wednesday, we head to the airport to make our way back home, though at least one of us will be returning in the not too distant future!

For those of you that are acquainted with my daughter, she will be running her own blog of the trip.  Hers will be linked in through Facebook.
